Dolores Theresa (Potvin) Shea, 89 of Agawam, MA, entered into eternal rest on September 22, 2025. Born in Springfield, MA, Dolores was a proud homemaker who dedicated her early married years to her three children before beginning her professional career. She entered the workforce as an executive assistant for an entrepreneurial sales and marketing company, an experience that brought her confidence and pride. She later transitioned into the medical field as an office manager and later specializing in medical billing. After retirement, she found fulfillment as a SHINE counselor at a local senior
center, where she assisted Medicare beneficiaries to navigate postretirement health insurance coverage and Medicare plans. Dolores was proud of her French Canadian heritage and enjoyed researching her family ancestry and providing similar information for curious friends and family. Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Shea, her parents
Emile Potvin and Jennie (Wytrych) Potvin, her brother David Potvin, and her aunt Marion Gelinas. Dolores is survived by her sons, James M. Shea and his wife Denette, Christopher R. Shea and his wife Linda, as well as, her daughter Pamela A.
(Shea) Provencher. She is also survived by six beloved grandchildren. In accordance with Dolores's wishes, her life will be celebrated at a private service. She will be laid to rest at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
