John S. Lishman, Jr.

John S. Lishman, Jr., age 55, a lifelong resident of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 22, 2025 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He sadly died two days prior to his 56th birthday.
Born in Worcester, MA on September 24, 1969, he was a loving and devoted son of Beverly G. (Lewis) Lishman of Mansfield and the late John S. Lishman, Sr. He was the dear brother of Michael F. Lishman of Mansfield.
John grew up in Mansfield, a part of the “Davis Street Gang” and was a 1988 graduate of Mansfield High School. John was so proud to be a Mansfield Hornet and showed his green and white spirit, serving as a former team mascot.
John had previously worked as a bagger and carriage collector at Stop & Shop Supermarket and had also been employed at Burger King. John’s family and friends were the focal point of his life and along with his family, attend the First Baptist Church of Mansfield.
John was pre-deceased by his devoted grandparents Frederick and Clara Lishman and Alice Smith, whom he loved dearly and his late much-loved girlfriend Michelle Murphy.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend services on Tuesday, September 30th at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Knollwood Memorial Park, 321 High Street in Canton.
