Jacalyn Christene McColgan, 40, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2025. She was welcomed into heaven by her loving grandmothers Judythe Desmond and Carol McColgan; and aunts Catherine Carlino and Carol May.
Born in Stoughton, MA, she will be forever missed by her parents Jill McColgan of Kentucky and Edward and Deb McColgan of FL.
Jacalyn was an avid reader, enjoying every piece of Stephen King’s literature. She graduated from Brockton High School and was among the first class of recipients of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship for her natural intelligence.
After serving in the United States Air Force, she lived in Kentucky, working in the restaurant industry.
Along with her parents, she leaves her two cherished sons Michael Dylan Brooks (15) of Nicholasville, KY and Desmond Patrick Norris (4) of Georgetown, KY; her two younger sisters of Valerie McColgan and Kelley McColgan both of Brockton; her nephews Evan Desmond and Logan Reis; a niece Baylee Reis; an aunt Jackie Carlino; three uncles whom she adored Michael, Matthew and Timothy Desmond; as well as Jeanne and Joel Pickering, Cheryl and Jim McColgan, along with their son James Edward MColgan, III.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 6-8 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
