Obituary

LIMINGTON- Kathleen “Kathy” (Carroll) Colby, age 54, passed away on Sept. 10, 2025, at her home in Limington.
She was born in Sanford on July 20, 1971, a daughter of the late Frank and Barbara (Hamilton) Carroll.

She attended Limerick Elementary School, graduated from Massabesic High School, and also graduated from Andover College.

She was employed at her father’s company- F.R. Carroll, a job that meant the world to her. She helped her father build the business and kept everything running smoothly as the office manager. She loved her job, the employees, customers, and contractors.

She enjoyed swimming, playing softball, camping up at The Mountain, going to camp in Mexico, ME, moose hunts, four wheeling, story time for Barbara, and most especially- being with her children, grandchildren, and dear friends

She is predeceased by parents whom she cherished; her mother and father – in – law- Vera and Henry Colby; her brother in – law- Andy Colby. And her brother – in law- Tim Benton,

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband- Steve Colby who she married on Oct. 16, 1992; a son- Brandon Colby; daughter- Kayla Grimm and her husband Richard; her grandchildren- Barbara and Jonah Grimm; sister- Donna Welch and her husband Albert; brother- Frank Carroll Jr., and his wife Kathy, Mike Carroll and his wife Maureen; sister – in – law- Cheryl Ring and her husband Jim; brothers – in – law- Jeff Colby and his wife Rosalie, Joe Colby, and Ann Colby, and Henry Colby and his wife Gloria; many nieces and nephews; a longtime friend- Robyn and Bryan Colby and their children Tyler and Emily Colby.


Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday Sept. 17th from 11 AM - 1 PM at St. Matthew Church, Dora Lane, Limerick. At 1 PM a funeral service will be held at the church.
