Donna worked all her life up until her retirement in October 2015. She worked at Robin Hood Camp in Center Ossipee, babysitting for summer visitors at Purity Spring in Madison, NH and in her pervious home in Freedom, NH then moving to Porter with her husband. Donna also worked at Vulcan Electric, Shoe Shop in Fryeburg and Limerick and Data General inspecting computers. During that time at Data General inspecting computers, she trained Mexicans to do the inspections. After several working years , Donna went back to school to get her GED and attended Andover College to get her degree in Secretarial Sciences and Accounting and worked at Data General in Accounting. She then went to night classes and got her CNA and worked at Casa in Scarborough. After working nights in Scarborough, she worked at Messer Truck Equipment and worked as their secretary/receptionist, then moving to the office manager and accounting role. Donna was at Messer Truck Equipment for 25 years until her retirement.

She lived in Freedom, NH during her childhood years. Then moved to Porter, ME with her first husband. She married her second husband, Howard in 1981 and has lived in West Baldwin with him for 44 years.

After her retirement, she studied a lot on drugs, pot and took a class in Psychology. Donna hated drugs, pot and alcohol (she drank alcohol for a while, decided it was a bad thing and she quit).

She also volunteered at the Barbara Bush Center at Maine Medical in the children’s play area. Donna enjoyed listening and reading to the children, doing puzzles with them, being there when the dogs were brought in for the children. She enjoyed the children loving the dogs.

Donna loved spending time with her family, extended family, helping them any way she could. Enjoyed all the get together, holidays, especially Halloween being her favorite holiday, knitting, cooking, reading, going up to camp, dancing (being her favorite), visiting her friends, helping them when they were sick, helping people, television and listening to all the political lies (Trump being the worst one). She always had compassion for the “underdogs”. Loved having a garden and canning vegetables, she especially enjoyed giving them to her friends. Donna loved her home, pictures of her friends and family and always placed pictures on the walls, bureaus, stands and anywhere she could find room. She would get up at 4 o’clock and sit in her chair with coffee and a donut and look all around her at all she had and how grateful she was for all her family, extended family, all her pictures, her husband and her pets. Donna also enjoyed all her children’s school papers, sports they played in, report cards and Christmas plays. She also enjoyed sliding, bowling and golf.
