ACTON- Suzanne J. Doyle, age 71, of Acton passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Sanford, Maine on September 9, 1953, daughter of the late Constance Butler and Reginald Ham. Sue graduated from Sanford High School. She married the love of her life, Patrick Doyle on October 27, 1978.
Her early years, she worked at Sprague Electric, Chadbourn Florist, & Huff Florist. In 1978 she joined the team at Downeast Flowers as a Floral Designer, working there for more than 38 years, where she became family.
Sue loved antiquing, gardening, tending to her numerous varieties of lilac bushes and she especially enjoyed participating at car shows, showing her 1968 Corvair that she had her “Betty Boop” painted on the hood. She was a member of the Acton/Shapleigh Historical Society and the Acton Cemetery Association, working alongside her dear friend Ken Allan on many preservation projects.
She is predeceased by her husband, Patrick , who passed away in November 14, 2014.
Her mother, Constance , her father, Reginald, her son-in-law Kenneth Smith. She is survived by her Daughter, Marianne Smith, Son, Patrick Doyle and fiance Liliani. Brothers, Gary Ham and wife Nancy, Kevin Ham and wife Darlene, Candice Real, Kimberly Lapointe, Kerry White and husband Brian, Sherry Andrews and husband William. Many nieces and nephews. Dear friends, Reg & Debbie Cary. Sue had a wide circle of friends whom she loved very much.
A celebration of Sue's life will be held on Sunday October 19th at 1 PM at The Ridge, 49 Shaw's Ridge Road, Sanford. Sue loved to dress up and with a lot of color, so those that are attending are encouraged to dress accordingly.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
