WATERBORO- "Buster" James L. Parker, age 100, passed away on Sept. 3, 2025, at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford.
He was born in Waterboro on Jan. 20, 1925, a son of the late Leon and Gladys (Temple) Parker.
Buster proudly served our country in the US Navy for nine years which included WWII.
Over the years, Buster worked at Oddclair Trucking, Shaw's Supermarkets, and was self-employed as a woodsman.
He will always be remembered for his hard work ethic. He enjoyed haying and working in his gardens. He also was an avid western movie fan, with Gun Smoke and John Wayne movies being his favorites. For many years, Buster had a team of Belgian Horses he used for work in the woods.
He is predeceased by his wife Louise; a son- Scott Parker; and an infant son- James Parker Jr; and all of his eight siblings.
He is survived by his son- Douglas Parker and his companion Tammy; granddaughter- Candace; great granddaughter- Aubrey; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday Sept. 11th at 2PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 125 Sokokis Trail, in East Waterboro. Burial will follow with US Navy Honors at Pine Grove South Cemetery, West Road, in South Waterboro.
