Obituary

Stephen “Steve” Gerald Barrow, 69, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A visitation will be held for Steve on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Born February 11, 1956, in Colquitt County, Steve was the son of the late Leonard Jerald Barrow and Carol Banks Warren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Robin Stuckey and Debra Lieupo. Before retiring, he was a maintenance supervisor for Adama.

Steve was known throughout the area as a member of Mood Doctors for which he played bass and sang vocals. Throughout the years, he has played for several other bands in the area. Amazingly, Steve played his music by ear.

Another talent that Steve possessed was that he could fix anything, which came in very handy because he was always lending a hand to his neighbors. “Quit” was not in his vocabulary, because he never quit in whatever he set out to do.
Steve loved his family dearly and especially “loved, loved” his grandbabies. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.

Steve is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pamela “Pam” Dianne Bledsoe Barrow of Tifton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lauren and Chris Peters and Lindsey Barrow, all of Tifton; one sister, Jackie Austin of Jacksonville, Florida; and three grandchildren, Cohen Barrow, Cannon Peters and Cash Peters.
