Robert Griffiths (aged 72) passed away at his home in Easton, Mass on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. He was born in Boston, a son of the late Harry and Rita Griffiths. He leaves his Devoted wife Elaine (Sarcevicz) Griffiths. They have been married for 45 years.
An Amazing and Loving Stepfather to: Lorrie (Bonito) Duffy and Brendt Bonito; Four Loving and Adoring Grandchildren: Francis Duffy (Frankie) of North Carolina, Brianna Duffy of Taunton, Mass., Mason Bonito of Easton, Mass., Trevin Bonito of Taunton, Mass., and His fur Baby Raleigh. He is survived by two brothers and a sister: William Griffiths of Florida, Gary Griffiths of Seattle Washington, Gail (Griffiths) Cash of Middleboro, Mass. He was the brother of the late Paul Griffiths of Ohio, John Griffiths of Randolph, Mass. and Wayne Griffiths of Mentor, Ohio, and Uncle Roy Bates of Braintree, Mass.
Rob graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. After graduating from Northeastern University, he was employed by General Dynamics where he worked for over 35 years. He had strong work ethics that went above and beyond what was expected of him. He would work tirelessly. Rob traveled to many countries while employed by GD. One of the many highlights of his job was to attend the launch of the Zumwalt. He was invited to board the ship for its sea trial run that departed from Bath, Maine. He described it as being The greatest opportunity of a lifetime.
Rob was a Big Celtics fan. He was also a Corvette enthusiast. He would never miss a car show. He attended the Corvettes to Carlisle Event in Pennsylvania for many years. His most memorable year was 2024. Rob was awarded the 2024 Celebrity Choice Award at Corvettes To Carlisle which was presented to him by Peter Asacker.
