Sotiria (Ioannou) Karcasinas, 75, formerly of Spencer died Friday, August 29th in St. Mary Nursing Home. Her husband of 53 years, Chrisos Karcasinas died in 2022. She leaves a daughter, Stephanie Girouard; a son, Stephen Karcasinas; two grandchildren, Jillian and Jason; a sister, Anna Stamadiatis; a brother, Lefteri Ioannou; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by a sister, Dina Trakis.
She was born in Greece the daughter of Helen and George (Kasouri) Ioannou. Sotiria and her husband, Christos owned and operated Palace Pizza from 1990 until they sold it in 2001. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Her visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester.
