Michael “Mike” Peter Nardone, Sr. 69, of Tifton passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. A small celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mike will be laid to rest in Williamstown, New Jersey. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born February 6, 1956, in Camden, New Jersey, Mike was the son of the late John Joseph Nardone and Cecilia Sunderharf Nardone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony Nardone and Paul Nardone. He was the fourth of six children raised in Williamstown, New Jersey, where he lived most of his life. He spent many years as an employee of the New Jersey State School in Vineland, New Jersey. Later, he moved first to Valdosta, where he lived with his sister, CC and then to Tifton where he found his second home. He lived in Tifton the rest of his life, and worked as a handyman.
Mike made many lasting friendships and found peace and happiness in Tifton. He was a beloved part of his adopted home, always willing to do anything he could to help people, even strangers. If you needed something and it was within his power, he would help. Mike will always be remembered for his selflessness.
Mike is survived by his son, Michael Nardone, Jr., his wife, Jenna, and their children of New Jersey; his sisters, Mary Nardone and CC Nardone, both of California; his brother, John Nardone of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
