Christopher J. Fenton, 54, of Worcester died Monday, August 25th at home. He leaves his mother, Marilyn J. (Massa) Fenton with whom he lived; three brothers, John C. Fenton and his wife, Patricia of Sterling, Michael L. Fenton of Laurens, NY, and Timothy J. Fenton and his wife, Laura of Raliegh, NC; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was born in Milford the son of John A. Fenton and he graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. He went on to build a long and dedicated career at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he worked for over 25 years. Starting in the mailroom, Christopher’s strong work ethic and warm personality led him to become the Supervisor of Office Services—a role in which he was highly respected and valued by his colleagues. Prior to his time at the hospital, he worked for Charter Communications as a Lead Technician for 10 years.
Christopher had a deep love for Boston sports and could often be found passionately discussing the latest games. Known to many radio listeners as “Chris from Worcester” or “Chris in the car,” he frequently called in to 98.5 The Sports Hub while sitting in traffic, offering his witty and spirited takes. His sense of humor was unmatched, and he had a gift for lifting others’ spirits. Whether at work, with friends, or at family gatherings, Christopher was often the life of the party—someone who could make anyone smile.
He loved to travel, especially to California and Florida, where he made countless memories. But above all, Christopher loved his family deeply. He was a devoted son, a caring brother, and a proud uncle. He cherished the special bond he had with his nieces and nephews, especially their annual Christmas Eve or Christmas Day movie outings—a tradition filled with laughter, popcorn, and often a good sci-fi flick.
Christopher will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the joy he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held at a later date. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
