Pauline (Caron) Mikulski, 90, a former resident of Salem, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Brightview Senior Living in Danvers, following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard A. Mikulski, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Ida M.J. (Lacombe) Caron. Following her graduation from Salem High School, Pauline worked as an administrative assistant at the USMC (United Shoe) in Beverly. Married in 1955, she and Richard devoted themselves to the raising of their five children.
Pauline was a quiet family and home-loving caretaker, who also loved and raised Parakeets over the years. She also enjoyed cooking and tending to her garden.
She is survived by her 4 children, Deborah A. Tournas and husband George of Peabody, Linda M. Plante of Peabody, Stephen A. Mikulski and wife Deborah of Danvers, Theresa Palm and husband Eric of Salem and 8 grandchildren, James Tournas &Christine DiStefano, Nicholas & Christopher Plante, Andrew & Kathleen Mikulski, Derek Palm & Erica LaMonica, as well as 5 great-grandchildren, Madison, Jacob, Wesley, Adylan & Emmett and sister Lillian LaBelle. She was predeceased by her son Mark S Mikulski, brothers and sisters, Frederick, Raymond (Robert), Gene and Albert Caron, Cecile Dionne and Gertrude Semon.
Relatives and friends are invited to her calling hours on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, (Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish) 15 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 11:00 A.M.
