Obituary

WEBSTER – Arthur P. “Art” Daskowski, 76, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at home surrounded by the love of his family after an illness. His wife of 56 years, Pauline R. “P” (Verdone) Daskowski died in April.

He leaves 2 sons, Thomas “TJ” Daskowski of Webster and Todd M. Daskowski and his wife April A. of Chicago, IL; he was a proud “Poppy” to his 2 grandchildren, Ty and Olivia “Livy” Daskowski; 2 sisters-in-law, Johnna Lussier and her husband Richard of Webster and Jean Silvestri; 2 brothers-in-law, Thomas Verdone of Dudley and Emile Malboeuf of Webster; a sister, Deborah Patrowicz and her husband Richard of Thompson, CT; He was “Uncle A” to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Sandra Avalos and his sister-in-law Roberta “Bobbie” Malboeuf.

He was born in Webster on February 22, 1949 and raised there, a son of Paul and Julia (Kuchar) Daskowski and was a 1967 graduate of Bartlett High School. He received his Bachelor’s of Business from Nichols College.

Mr. Daskowski first worked for Goff & Cagan, C.P.A. in Worcester, he then was the plant manager for General Spring in Oxford, later the general manager for Imperial Spring Company in Southington, CT, and in retirement delivered cars for Long Subaru in Webster. He also worked as a funeral assistant for Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home and Scanlon Funeral Service, both of Webster. He fully retired in 2020.

Arthur was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a lifetime member of the Polish American Veterans.

He was a communicant of Saint Louis Church. His greatest joys were his sons and grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6 at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster (please meet at church). Burial with military honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veteran’s Council will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster. Pauline and Arthur were able to adopt their sons through the Catholic Charities, because of this, it was their wish that donations in his memory be made to Catholic Charities, 10 Hammond Street, Worcester, MA 01610 or to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
