Obituary

Lance Derek Lastinger, 62, of Tifton passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Union Grove Church of God with the Rev. Joseph Crumley and the Rev. Trent Cory officiating. Lance will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Garner officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Robbie Cross, Earl McQuaig, Jr. Coker, Tim Crowe, Steve Wood, Greg Wood and the Rev. Steve Davis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lance’s grandchildren.

Born November 18, 1962, in Tifton, Lance was the son of the late Wayman Claxton Lastinger and Rubye Nell Livingston Lastinger. He earned an Associate Degree in Business, and he was the Sales Manager at Harbor Freight in Tifton. He loved the Lord, and he was a faithful member of Union Grove Church of God.

Lance was a true family man and his love for his family was very deep. His hobbies included fishing, working in his yard, raising chickens and working cows with Buddy Cawley. He was a true sports fan and loved watching the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.

Lance is survived by his loving wife, Sue Pritchett Lastinger of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Ashley Lastinger of Leesburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Kasey Luke of Ty Ty; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dawn and Monty Foskey of Tifton, Skye Irvin of Sylvester and Faith and Buddy Cawley of Ashburn; five grandchildren, Judah Lastinger, Asher Lastinger, Hansley Faith Luke, Addie Leigh Luke and Israel Lastinger; a sister-in-law and her husband, Rhonda and James Johnson of Tifton; a brother-in-law and his wife, Billy and Michelle Pritchett of Omega; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Lance's sitters, Felicia Thomas and Tina Harper for their exemplary care of Lance.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial gifts may be made to Traditions Hospice, 126 South Access Road, Chula, GA 31733.
