Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Sidney and Pearl (Shainis) Anapolsky. He was a proud resident of Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School.

Richard dedicated much of his career to local charity fundraising as a salesman, where his warm personality and genuine care for people shone through. Known for his loving and selfless nature, he had a gift for making others feel valued and for bringing humor and light to any room.

He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—playing billiards and poker, visiting Nantasket Beach, and indulging in local pizza from spots like Linwood Café, especially a linguica chopped. Above all, his greatest joy was his daughter, Alexis, who was truly the apple of his eye.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Alexis O’Connor, and her husband, Ryan, of Brockton; his cherished granddaughter, Lily O’Connor; his brother, Marc Anapolsky; his sister, Linda Werman; nieces Bayla, Morgan, and Lauren; and nephew, Sam. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Anapolsky.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, all funeral services and interment at Sharon Memorial Park will be privately held.

He will be remembered for his boundless generosity, quick wit, and the unconditional love he shared with his family and friends.
