Ronald C. Searles, 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Karen C. (Beach) Searles; daughters Razi, Sarah, and Melissa; grandchildren Jaia, Bodhi, Kaleo, Maliyah, Kira, Alexander, and Ethan; his protégé, Rick; and many cousins, relatives, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Stephen Searles.
Born in Yonkers, NY, to the late Henry and Eleanor (Kordecki) Searles, Ron spent his early years in New York before his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he graduated from Hillwood High School. He later moved to Massachusetts, attended the School of the Worcester Art Museum, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Clark University.
Ron’s artistic gift and passion for design led to a lifelong career as an architectural designer. He founded R.C. Searles Associates, Inc., where he combined creativity with precision to bring hundreds of homes and projects to life. He was a proud member of the National Association of Home Builders, the Builders Association of Central Massachusetts, and the Norco Sportsman’s Club.
A man of wide-ranging interests, Ron loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles, classic rock, and even a good episode of Antiques Roadshow. His happiest moments were spent traveling, boating, golfing, fishing, gardening, tending to his immaculate lawn and garden, and sharing laughter over card games or remote-control car races with his grandchildren.
