Evangeline N. Boyle (58) of Mansfield, Massachusetts passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Boston Medical Center. Born on May 25, 1967 in Boston, MA, Sergeant Evangeline N. Boyle was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and served overseas as an Embassy Guard. Following her service, she continued to support her fellow veterans as an Occupational Therapist for the VA Medical Center in Brockton, MA. She loved the work she did and the patients she served.

Evangeline, known as Anne or Annie to most, was a strong member of her community. She served as Chaplain for the local Elks Lodge was a consistent supporter of Mansfield athletics. She enjoyed spending time with friends and being outdoors as well as quiet moments at home. Most importantly, Anne loved to spend time with her daughter, Madeline. Being a mother was her biggest pride, and this showed through her unwavering support of everything Maddie wished to accomplish. Anne also opened her heart and home to her nieces and nephews over the years. She was the embodiment of unconditional love and spent her life caring for those around her.

She is survived by her daughter Madeline, her siblings Kenneth and Vicki Boyle, Brenda-Jean and Mark Paradis and Michael and Danielle Leighton, her many nieces and nephews, her ex-wife Mary Anne Greenwood, and step-son Eric Hanson. She was predeceased by her brother Bradford Boyle, sister Denise Young, her mother Eleanor-Jean Leighton and father Rev. Kenneth Boyle.


Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, August 17th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

Her funeral service, accompanied by military honors will be held on Monday, August 18th at 10:45 A.M. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne. Those attending her services are asked to please go directly to the cemetery and arrive by 10:30 A.M.

Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, in remembrance of Evangeline Boyle’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Veterans Angels, Inc. or your favorite charity.
