Alden C. Kirby, 87, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 with family by his side. He was the husband of Veronica (Ferreira) Kirby, they shared 64 years of marriage..
Mr. Kirby was born in Fall River, son of the late Walter S. and Marjorie R. (Perry) Kirby and had been a lifelong resident of Westport. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a dairy farmer and owned/operated Herring Run Farm, Westport. He enjoyed bowling, gardening and splitting wood. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Survivors along with his wife include his 6 children: Alden F. Kirby and his wife Peggy of Dartmouth, Kevin L. Kirby and his wife Lisa of Westport, Wayne S. Kirby and his wife Cheryl of Westport, Mark A. Kirby and his wife Fatima of Westport, Wendy M. Kirby and her spouse Amy Sassin of Westport and Heidi J. Kirby of Exeter, NH; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, August 11, 2025 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
