Rosalie D. (Gray) Durfee, 79, of Tiverton, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of David Durfee, they shared 60 years of marriage.
Mrs. Durfee was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Edgar A. Gray, Jr. and the late Shirley (Borden) Gray and had been a lifelong resident of Tiverton. She had worked in home health care and later went on to work for the Tiverton School Department as a special education teacher's aide which she did for 28 years until retirement. She was very proud of her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors along with her husband include her son: James Durfee and his wife Jackie of Tiverton; her 2 daughters: Kathi Fazzina and her husband Bob and Tammy Coelho and her husband Mark, all of Tiverton; 7 grandchildren: Amanda, Cory, Mark David, Erin, Justin, Jaron and Jimmy; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Brittany Fazzina and sister of the late Susan Stephenson, Robert Gray and Stephen Gray.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, August 4, 2025 at Amicable Congregational Church, Tiverton at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Sunday at the Potter Funeral Home from 2-4 P.M.
Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Tiverton.
