Sandra J. Grivois, 80, of Lecanto, FL peacefully passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

She was the daughter of Estella and Richard Cote and grew up in Raynham, MA along with her sister’s Diane, Rachelle, and Patricia. She was a graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School class of 1964. Sandy was the wife of Joseph R. Grivois who predeceased her in 2022 after 57 years of marriage. They raised their family in Raynham and moved to Florida where Sandy resided for 26 years.

Sandy worked at Friendly’s Ice Cream and then St. Mary’s Rectory in Taunton. She worked the service desk at Market Basket which gave her flexibility to babysit her first grandchild. Sandy continued to work during her retirement years, working part-time at a local gift and ice cream shop in Florida.

She was active in the community. As her husband was a Raynham Fire Fighter, she became a member of the Raynham Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was also an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary for American Legion Post #405 and held officer level positions at various times.

Sandy loved to cook for family and enjoyed baking and was well known for her fabulous French meat pies. She was self-taught cake decorator and was sought out often to decorate wedding cakes for family and friends. She was known to host many gatherings over the years for friends, neighbors, and family. She loved exploring the shops and beaches in Florida and would often take out of state family visiting to see the various sites. Everyone felt welcomed in her home and enjoyed being their guests. She kept in touch with her high school classmates and enjoyed attending the yearly gathering in Florida of residents who used to live in the Taunton area.

Sandy was a member of several bowling leagues over the years. She also enjoyed playing cards especially the game 45 which she played in tournaments in Raynham and many an evening with family and friends.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Parish in Florida and a former member of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham.

Sandy is survived by her daughter Rene Ninesling and husband Keith; daughters Michelle Grivois and Jaclyn Roth; grandchildren Taylor Ninesling, Trevor Ninesling, Alexis Roth, and Sanna Roth. Sandy was preceded in death by her sister Diane Mulhern. She is survived by her sisters Patricia Caron and Rachelle Hastings along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 20th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman and Jackson Funeral Home located on 55 North Main Street, Mansfield, MA.

Her funeral will begin on Monday, July 21st at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery 475 East Britannia St, Taunton, MA.

For family and friends in Florida, there will be a Memorial Mass on Monday, Aug 4th at 11 am at Our Lady of Grace Parish, 6 Roosevelt Blvd., Beverly Hills, FL.
