Obituary

Patricia “Cookie” Santos, 62, of Worcester died Friday, July 4th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after an illness leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love. She leaves her husband, Emmanuel Asante; a son, Jose Ramos of Worcester; and three grandchildren, Chrishtian Vega, Jaizay Ramos, and Anthony Ramos. She also leaves her longtime partner, Larry Berry; two brothers, Paul E. Fonseca and his wife, Laurie, and Robert E. Gamble; a sister, Dianna Lynn Gray and her husband, Donald; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Carroll T. Fonseca and John D. Clay, Jr.; and a sister, Deborah A. Cummings.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John D. and Ruth Lena (Santos) Clay. For several years, she dedicated her time to volunteering with the Salvation Army, serving as a bell ringer during the holiday season and spreading joy to all those she encountered.
Patricia cherished the time spent with her family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was known for her loving nature and her big heart, touching the lives of countless people through her compassion and selflessness.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral services and burial will be held at a later date. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
