Betty Jane Geoghagan Fletcher, 93, of Tifton passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Legacy Village in Tifton. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Fletcher at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate and a prayer will be offered by Brent Fletcher. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Jackson Fletcher, Dixon Fletcher, Brian Fletcher, Brent Fletcher, Sloan Fletcher and Annalee Fletcher will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 26, 1931, in Turner County, Mrs. Fletcher was the daughter of the late Lamar Geoghagan and Lena Bell Zorn Geoghagan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jack Fletcher, Sr.; one son, William Jack Fletcher, Jr.; one daughter, Linda Kay Fletcher; two brothers, Lamar Geoghagan and Earl Geoghagan; and two sisters, Ann Kells and Marjorie Owens.
Mrs. Fletcher enjoyed taking care of her family as a homemaker; and she dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her leisure time, she loved to garden and she loved going to the beach. She was a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandra and Paul Gilliam and Debbie Fletcher, all of Tifton; four grandchildren, Dixon Fletcher, Sloan Fletcher, Brian Fletcher and Brent Fletcher; and two great-grandchildren, Annalee Fletcher and Jackson Fletcher.
