Andrew Patrick Lee of West Roxbury, formerly of South Boston passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 33. Andrew was the beloved son of Thomas C. Lee, retired Boston firefighter, and Noreen Pryor DiNatale of South Boston. Brother of Thomas C. Lee Jr. of Lynchburg, VA and cherished brother and best friend of Christian Roche. Predeceased by his sisters, Diane and Taylor DiNatale of South Boston. Loving nephew of Marsha Lee of Duxbury, Michael Lee of West Palm Beach, FL, Donna Lee Frechette and her husband Joseph R. Frechette of Quincy and Karen Lee Cavaleri and her husband John P. Cavaleri of Palmetto, FL. Predeceased by his Nana, Janet Fadden Lee, and grandfather, George W. Lee Sr., his uncles George W. Lee Jr., David M. Lee and aunts Janet Lee Rosemond and Whitney Lee Campbell also survived by aunts Kathleen Pryor Selden of California, Jean Pryor of Boston and uncle William Pryor, Jr. of Boston. Predeceased by his grandmother, Catherine L. Kelley Pryor, grandfather, William Pryor Sr., and aunt Joan Pryor of Boston. Also survived by loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Andrew was born on April 22, 1992 in South Boston, MA. He attended Gate of Heaven Grammar School then went on to graduate high school from Brook Farm Academy. Andrew went on to study at Framingham State University. Growing up he was active in South Boston youth sports hockey, boxing, soccer and football. Andrew developed a love of boxing at the age of 11 and he began training at O’Malley’s/ Farrell’s Boxing Club in Quincy, MA with Head trainer Jimmy Farrell. He later became a long-time member of the South Boston Boxing Club and USA Boxing where he successfully competed in many local and regional boxing tournaments including the New England Golden Gloves tournaments. Andrew often spoke of his gratitude for the countless hours he spent with his trainers Jimmy Farrell, Steve Maze, Gene Laurence and John Curren. One of Andrew’s favorite past times was spending summers on Lake Winnipesaukee with his dad, boating, fishing and enjoying the lake life for over 30 years. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was a US Army Combat Veteran having served in the 1ST Infantry Division as a weapons repair specialist. Andrew was deployed overseas and served during Operation Enduring Freedom. Andrew was employed at the Veteran’s Administration in West Roxbury and deeply involved in Veterans Affairs. He was a kind, compassionate and loving young man with an amazing sense of humor. His greatest passion was music as he enjoyed all genres with a wide appreciation for it all. Andrew’s presence, laughter and bright smile will be missed deeply by all his family and friends. Visiting hours will be Friday, July 11th from 3 pm to 7 pm at Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury, MA. A brief funeral service will be held at Gormley Funeral Home, at 10 am Saturday, July 12th followed by interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Andrew be made to either of the following: The Wounded Warriors Project or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. |
