Obituary

MEREDITH --- Kenneth “Ken” Paul Carbone, 79, formerly of Tewksbury, Methuen, and Cambridge, MA, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Kenneth was born on March 30, 1946, in Cambridge, MA, the son of the late James Thomas Carbone, Sr., and Mary Ellen (Belcher) Carbone.

Ken worked his entire life and eventually retired as a maintenance manager from Gare INC. in Haverhill, MA, after many devout years.

Ken was a Vietnam Veteran. A Marine through and through… as he would so often say, “Once a Marine-Always a Marine.” He was proud of his service in the USMC. He always made sure his fellow Marine brothers had new flags on their grave sites every Memorial and Veterans Day.

He loved his Boston sports, especially the Boston Red Sox. He also loved his trips to Gloucester, Hampton Beach, and travels to Pennsylvania. Ken loved his special times with his brother and sister’s Thanksgiving, having fun at Funspot and all family gatherings.

Gambling was a favorite past time that he enjoyed with friends and family. Needless to say, he left a lasting and loving impression on all loved ones he left behind.

Kenneth is survived by his devoted partner of 19 years, Cynthia Buchanan and her loving family members: Crystal Furnee, Erin Furnee, Daniel Dube “DJ,” Allison Baggaley and her husband Sam and their baby, Avery Baggaley, and Cindy and Ken’s dog Baby-Girl; best friend and brother, Donald Carbone and his wife Donna; sisters Ann Guerra and her husband Santos, Mary Hogan and her husband Tim, Frances Medeiros, Janice Lewicki and her husband Daniel, and Rita Auger and her husband Rick; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ken will be sorely missed by all those who loved him dearly! In addition to his parents, Ken is predeceased by his brothers James T. Carbone, Jr., Richard Carbone, Robert Carbone, Ronald Carbone, and John Carbone.

Per Ken’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Wixson Memorial Garden, Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH. Family and friends are more than welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in Kenneth's name to any veteran's charity of your choice.
