Valerie "Lynn" Schofill, 62, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Ms. Schofill will be laid to rest at Metts Cemetery in Alapaha. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
C. J. Schofill, Eddie Smith, Bucky Gartman, Cristian Lucio, Russ Wood, T. J. Luke, Tyler Luke and Jamie Hancock will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 6, 1962, in Brunswick, Ms. Schofill was the daughter of the late John Henry Schofill, Sr. and Vera Mae Flancher Schofill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Henry Schofill, Jr.
Ms. Schofill is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Nanci and Samuel Nadeau and Amy Gonzalez; one grandson, Caden Daniel Gonzalez; one sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly Schofill and Alex Herrera; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Todd and Melody Schofill and Edsel and Kelli Schofill; and her nieces and nephews, Stevi Belanger, Madison Heath, Brendan, Emma and Ryn, Shanna, Humberto and Eddy Lopez, CJ, Riley and Finley Schofill, Alana, Manuel, Holly and Nancy Ayala, Hayley Schofill and Hunter Schofill.
