Kevin P. “Rudy” Reardon, 73, of Derry, NH, passed away Thursday June 12, 2025. He was born on February 18, 1952, in Boston, MA, a son of the late Michael and Rita (Wise) Reardon. Rudy had been a resident of Derry for the past 8 years, but he was born and raised and lived a majority of his life in South Boston, MA.
Rudy worked as a steel fabricator by trade and it brought him great joy teaching others. During the winter months, Rudy enjoyed helping the Mayor of Boston by collecting parking spot “space holders” after the emergency parking ban ended which led to him acquiring a nice collection of random chairs for his backyard for summer BBQs. Rudy also enjoyed spending time with his family, telling jokes and reminiscing about the "good old days".
Rudy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Paula (Lydon) Reardon of Derry (formerly of South Boston, MA); his daughter, Heather Griffin and her husband James of Derry; his two sons Michael Reardon of South Boston and Paul Lydon of Dedham, MA; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his brother, Arthur Reardon of Rotonda West, FL; sisters, Rita Mahoney of Halifax, MA, Jean Ingemi of Port Charlotte, FL, Mary Albanese of Braintree, MA, and Patricia Reardon of Hyannis, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rudy was predeceased by his son, Kevin Reardon Jr., his brothers, Michael Reardon, Edward Reardon, and Dennis Reardon.
Following cremation, the family will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday, June 28th from 12 – 4 pm at the Venezia Restaurant, 20 Ericsson St, Boston, MA .
