Jim Mooty, 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on June 16, 2025. Born in Tonawanda, New York on January 4, 1961 he was the son of the late Paul and Mary Evelyn Gallagher Mooty and resided in Dickson City.

He was married to Mary Lou Kurimchak Mooty who preceded him in death in 2017.

Jim was a graduate of Lakeland High School and was employed as a CDL long haul Truck Driver.

While his work took him to many destinations he was always in touch with his friends and family as he traveled. When he was home he loved to stop at his favorite local eateries and enjoyed coffee with his many friends. Jim loved his German Shephard dogs Sausha, Shania and Shana.

He is survived by his sons Austin Mooty, and Jim Warren, stepdaughters, Nicole Barrett, Sarah Malinowski (Stephan), Jennifer Keith (Robert), grandchildren Aubrey, Natalie, Alex, Isabella, Robbie, Aliyah and Landen; two sisters Ann Marie Cawley, Kathy Harle (Charles), a brother Paul (Laura) and numerous nieces and nephews.
