Byron Linthicum, 66, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, June 16, 2025, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Central Wesleyan Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. B.J. Funk officiating. Eric Griffin and David Hunsberger will give the eulogies. Interment will be private. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mr. Linthicum was born May 10, 1959, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert Leroy & Janice Madena Linthicum. He worked as a contractor for Lockheed Martin and in cabinetry sales for Lowe’s. Always ready for an adventure, he traveled thousands of miles throughout the United States and the world. He loved the beach, visited North Africa six times, and explored Rome, Italy with his wife Brenda. Byron dearly loved spending time with his family and was a member of Central Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Byron & Tracy Linthicum of Atlanta, Christy Linthicum of Richmond, Virginia, and Janice & Sebastian DeLeon of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren: Emerie Linthicum, Cecily Linthicum, and Olivia DeLeon; bonus children: Brian & Tina Nicholson of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Jeremy & Karli Nicholson of Peachtree City; bonus grands: Jack, Landon, Myles, B.J., Owen, and Lucy; a sister, Ruth Linthicum Schenkenberger of Foley, Alabama; a brother, David Linthicum of Hatfield, Pennsylvania; and two sisters-in-law: Bonnie & Tommy Wiggins and Becky & Robert Griffin, all of Fitzgerald. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Massee and a brother, Burton Linthicum.
