Colleen M. Hanlon, a resident of Norwell and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 51 years of age.
Colleen was born in Boston on October 16, 1973, a daughter of the late Ilene Hanlon Guiney and Arthur Hanlon. She grew up in Charlestown and was the youngest of four sisters. She attended school at St. Francis de Sales and graduated from Charlestown High School. Growing up Colleen was an active swimmer and played ball hockey. As she got older you could find her on a beach down in Wellfleet, taking a walk through the woods with her dogs, or tending to her garden. She will be remembered for her fierce loyalty to her friends and family. Her greatest joy of all was when she became a mother to her daughter Rori.
Colleen is survived by her daughter, Rori Sheehan and stepfather Richard Guiney, her sisters, Lisa Sullivan & her husband Michael of Braintree, Ilene Gautreau & her husband Michael of Wilmington, Bridget Garland & her husband Garry of Boston, and Colleen’s partner, John Crilley of Charlestown. She is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Colleen's visiting hours on Saturday morning, June 21, 2025, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private.
