Jerold “Al” “Jerry” Forrand, 79, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts died on May 29, 2025 at Beth Israel Hospital. He peacefully passed after a brief battle with heart issues.
Born in Abington, Massachusetts in 1946, the third son of Joseph Forrand and Elanor (Merril) Forrand. After some schooling Jerry joined the United State Navy and served for 2 years. After he served, he worked as a shoe salesman at Merrill's shoe store in Brockton, MA for over 20 years. He then chose a different path and was a janitor at Avon High School until he retired. He loved spending time watching sports, hanging out at cookouts, along with being around his family and friends. He really enjoyed the countless baseball road trips he took with his sons, and their friends.
Jerry will be joining his late wife, Kathleen (Shanahan) Forrand, daughter, Kimberly Forrand along with his two brothers Joseph Forrand and James Forrand. He leaves behind his three sons and their families. Joel and Robin Forrand, Kevin and Katie Forrand, and Robert Forrand. He also leaves behind a sister Marilyn (Forrand) Burke. He was a loving and devoted grandfather and step-grandfather, to Melissa Aylward, Kimberly Cox-Forrand, Owen Forrand, Ava Forrand, Kassidy Bevens-Forrand, Colin and Arianna Boutwell.
In place of funeral services, a Celebration of Life will be held on June 21st at 10th District Brewery in Abington, from 12-6pm. We hope all can make it who loved Jerry. He will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
