Ann Marie Palazzolo (Butler) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 8th. She was 91. Born and raised in East Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late James Butler and Teresa Butler Ruggiero.
Ann was a kind-hearted, thoughtful woman with a wonderful sense of humor, always ready to help others and cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann dedicated many years as a Telephone Operator and Executive Secretary and found joy in gardening, where her beautiful roses became a neighborhood treasure. She loved hosting family gatherings, cooking and baking for her loved ones, and taking memorable trips to Ogunquit, Maine and Foxwood’s Casino with her sister Frances, her husband Ritchie and dear friend the late Barbara Lamb. Ann also enjoyed painting, listening to music, chatting on the phone, bird watching for blue jays and cardinals and always trying her luck playing the lottery, with the dream of sharing it with her family.
A proud Medford resident for over 60 years, Ann was the devoted mother of Maryann Taylor and her husband Carl of Everett, Susan Coleman and her husband Chris of Medford, Linda DiMarco of Medford, and the late Paul Palazzolo, Ronnie Palazzolo and Lori Roberts. She was the cherished grandmother of Joseph DiMarco, Gina DiMarco, Danielle Roberts, Christopher X Coleman, Joshua Carlo and Christina Coleman, and a beloved great-grandmother to Anthony DiMarco, Jahniecia Bizarria, Scarlet DiMarco, Liana Grande, Sylvana Grande, Jax DiMarco, Alessandro Sanchez, William Carlo, Willow Carlo and Michael Carlo. Ann was the dog grandmother to Minnie and Max Coleman who always made her laugh. Ann was the dear sister of Frances Cerullo and her husband Ritchie of Westwood, MA and the late James and Darlene Butler of Jackson, Tennessee. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she deeply cherished.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, June 11th from 4 to 7 PM and again on Thursday, June 12th, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
