Obituary

Ann Marie (King) Wright, 79, of Holden, passed away on Friday, June 6th at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She leaves two sons, David Wright and his wife, Lisa of Richmond, VA and Michael Wright and his wife, Denise of Franklin; a daughter, Paula Kerr and her husband, Darrell of Rutland; a brother, Paul King of Worcester; six grandchildren, Zachery Wright, Katelyn Kerr, Preston Wright, Ryan Kerr, Cormac Wright and Keegan Wright; two sisters-in-law, Patricia King of Holden and Judith Berthiaume of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, David P. Wright; her brother, Edward King; and her sister, Judith Grady.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Edward T. and Anna R. (Howard) King. Ann graduated from high school and dedicated much of her life to caring for her family as a devoted homemaker. Ann also enjoyed working as a crossing guard for the local school system, a role that reflected her caring nature and connection to the community. A faithful member of Christ the King Parish, Ann cherished summers on Cape Cod and trips to Fort Lauderdale with her husband, her sister Judy, and brother-in-law Jim. Ann had a deep love for spending time with her grandchildren and had immense pride in watching them grow and succeed. She enjoyed playing bingo with friends, moments that brought her great happiness. Ann, cherished for her nurturing spirit and kind heart, also found joy and camaraderie as a proud member of the Sons of Erin on Cape Cod, where she made countless happy memories with great friends. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Her funeral is Thursday, June 12th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, June 11th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
