Millbury: Lawrence W. Parker, Sr., 88, passed away suddenly on Thursday June 5, 2025. He leaves his wife of 67 years, Winifred T. (LaBaire) Parker; 2 sons- Lawrence W. Parker, Jr. and his wife Antoinette of Putnam and David P. Parker and his wife Doreen of Millbury; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings Wilson Parker of CA, Sybil LaBaire of Shrewsbury, and Bernice Hagan of Hinsdale, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was born in Ware, MA, son of the late William and Lucille Parker. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade with an Associates Degree in Machine Design Engineering and worked as a machine designer and engineering manager for many years at Kinefac Corp in Worcester and Security Eng Machinery in Westborough. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force for several years.
Larry was known as “Mr. Magic” and has been performing since 1952 all over New England, doing magic shows up until his passing. He was a member of the Society of American Magicians for over 50 years and the International Brotherhood of magicians for over 60 years.
He cherished spending time with family, friends and grandchildren. Also, he enjoyed the times spent with his friends from the McDonald's group.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 4-6 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
