Betty Ann Tucker Troup, 85, of Tifton passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Kenny Kicklighter officiating. Mrs. Troup will be laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 6, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Troup’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 14, 1939, in Berrien County, Mrs. Troup was the daughter of the late Clayton Lee Tucker and Nancy Sweat Tucker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivory Jewell Troup and several brothers and sisters. She was a homemaker, who loved her family. Her constant companion was her little dog, Monty and her favorite flowers were roses.
Mrs. Troup is survived by four sons, Tim Nichols (Wendy) and Jimmy Nichols (Sondra), both of Tifton, Ivory “Junior” Troup and his wife, Carla, of Berrien County and Jamey Troup (Wendy) of Moultrie; a daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Steve Stevenson of Tifton; and two step-daughters and their husbands, Frieda and Richard Smith of Oklahoma and Evelyn Peterson of Tampa, Florida; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial gifts may be made to the Shriner’s, 1822 Palmyra Road, Albany, GA 31701.
