Sean M. Leavitt, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, May 27th. He was 38. Born in Fort Belvoir, VA, he was the son of Paula (Gale) Melito and her husband Michael and Mark Leavitt.

Sean was always smiling. Regarding his loved ones, he had a protective spirit and would give them a call to check and see how they were doing. Being compassionate was part of his nature. He worked hard to make people laugh.

Sean truly had a great sense of humor. He loved to cook and often surprised his Nana at the nursing home with a plate of pasta and tomato sauce. Sean never forgot to bring along the grated parmesan cheese. Sean was a great fan of the Boston Celtics and, in particular, Paul Pierce. He enjoyed getting autographs from the players. Sean will be missed by all who had the privilege to have met him.

Sean was the dear brother of Mark Leavitt, Carlie Melito and Michael Melito, Jr. He was the proud owner of Weezy Marie, his cat. Sean is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Sean’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Wednesday June 4th from 4 PM to 7 PM, with a celebration of Sean’s life at 6:30 PM.
