Anne L. (Jean Jacques) Belfort, age 87, of Medford passed away on Thursday, May 22nd, at Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Born and raised in Chardonnieres, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Breva Jean-Jacques and Anna Chamblain. Anne was employed as a teacher in Haiti before immigrating to the U.S. Anne was a devoted catholic and a member of the Legion of Mary.

Anne was the beloved wife of the late Firmin Belfort, and the devoted mother of Ronald Belfort, Anne Merceus and her husband Bardinel, Theresa Belfort, Erve Belfort and his wife Ernsy, and Alex Belfort and his wife Emma. She was the loving grandmother of Cedric Nicholas, and Coraly, Gaetano, Alden and Alexiena and Marcelin Belfort. Anne was the dear sister of Andre Jean Jacques, and the late Ernest, Mary Therese and Gabrielle Jean Jacques. She is survived by her cousins Maryse Allien, Jean Beckner, Mary Francoise, and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, god children and friends. Anne is also mourned by the Chamblain, Allien, Chery, Dufanal, Dulieppe, Jean-Jacques, LaJoie, Moselin and Belfort families.

Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, May 30th from 4 through 8 PM, and again on Saturday, May 31st at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Rd., Medford.
