Betty Jean “Jeannie” Renew Ledford, 71, of Tifton passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at Lakeland Villa in Lakeland, Georgia. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mrs. Ledford will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Please dress casually for Mrs. Ledford’s service.
Mrs. Ledford’s family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Born December 30, 1953, in Tift County, Mrs. Ledford was the daughters of the late Presley Jackson Renew and Betty Purvis Renew. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther “Ray” Ledford; one brother, Jacky Renew; and one grandson, Hunter Harrell. Before retiring, she was a home healthcare provider.
Mrs. Ledford is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Cathy Harrell of Adel and Brandon and Lesia Ledford of Ray City; one brother, Roy Renew of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Tommy Harrell, Blade Harrell, Seth Harrell, Hailey Harrell, Karen Corbin, Heather Wiley and Shane Wiley; and seven great-grandchildren.
