Our beloved wife, mother, aunt, and friend, Linda Knauss, passed away peacefully at her home in Ventura, California, on May 3, 2025, at the age of 78, following a long and courageous journey with kidney disease.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, David Knauss; her daughter, Kellie Reed; son-in-law, Ryan Reed; and her grandchildren, Reese, River, and Marin. She is also survived by her nephews, Tony McDavid and Dr. Perry Santos. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Heather Knauss, and nephew, Cliff McDavid.
Born March 3, 1947, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Linda experienced the loss of her mother at a very young age. She was lovingly raised by her older sisters, Velma and Sandy, whose nurturing presence shaped her life and values. We find comfort in believing that they are now joyfully reunited in Heaven.
Linda met her beloved David in Alexandria, Virginia, where their love story began. Their relationship blossomed into a beautiful marriage that spanned nearly six decades. Their enduring love, unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, and the grace with which they faced life’s challenges together have been a source of inspiration and strength to their family.
Linda was known for her boundless generosity, kind heart, and warm sense of humor. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Her family wishes for her to be remembered for the love and compassion she so freely gave to others. Linda held her faith, her husband, her family, and her friends—who truly became like family—close to her heart. She had a deep love for babies, animals, palm trees, the color green, and treasured every moment spent with loved ones.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 11:00 AM at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, with a reception to follow. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
