Obituary

Hopedale – Michael J. Campbell, 63, of Hopedale, passed away in his home on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Campbell of Fitchburg; a step-son, Adam Picillo of Wakefield, MA; his daughter’s brother, whom he viewed as another step-son, Joseph Parcellin of Winthrop; two brothers, David Campbell of Pawtucket, RI and John Campbell of Missouri; a sister, Tammy Campbell McCarthy of Uxbridge; his former fiancé, Elizabeth Sarro of East Boston; 3 grandchildren, Olivia Haskell, Nevaeh Nickerson and Judah Nickerson; lifelong friend, Celeste Campbell of Winthrop; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born in North Attleboro, son of the late John and Geraldine (Eames) Campbell and is also predeceased by a sister, Patricia Campbell Guellar.

Mike spent many years working in the financial sector as a dedicated human resources representative. He found great joy in the outdoors—camping, fishing, and riding his motorcycle whenever he could. A devoted New England Patriots fan, Mike rarely missed watching a game and loved cheering on his team with family and friends. Known for his warm personality and unforgettable dance moves, Mike was the life of any gathering. He had a gift for bringing people together, whether it was for a game of darts, pool, or cards. His generous spirit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 12:00 PM in Hopedale, Massachusetts at Sacred Heart Church. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Campbell may be made to Shining Light Ministries, memo: Talitha Koum, at 264 Elm Street, Fitchburg, MA, 01420.
