PINEHURST, NC – Raymond A. Pimpare, 73, of Pinehurst, North Carolina and a former longtime resident of Providence Street in the Aldenville section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Monday, April 7, 2025. He passed into Eternal Life at the First Health Hospice in West End, NC surrounded by all the memories he loved and cherished. He was born in Biddeford, Maine on July 24, 1951, a beloved son of the late Ernest T. and Yvonne (Bedard) Pimpare. In 1965, his parents moved to Aldenville where he lived for many years before moving to Tampa, Florida in 2011 and then to Pinehurst, NC in 2018. Ray worked for Texon in Westfield for several years and was last employed for 20 years as the Superintendent of Sainte Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. He enjoyed tinkering on projects and Ray was known by everyone as “Mr. Fix It” as there was nothing he could not fix. During his leisure time, Ray enjoyed playing his guitar and working on model trains. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Dorothy M. (Grenier) Pimpare; his two loving daughters, Tanya Gay of Holyoke, and Tracey Kavanagh and her husband, Byron, of Studio City, CA; his loving step-son, James Daunheimer of Pinehurst, NC; his five cherished grandchildren, Myranda, Stephen and Owen Gay, and Booker and Malley Kavanagh; his dear sisters-in-law, Suzanne Graham, Patricia Marois and Kathryn Grenier, all of Pinehurst, NC; and his dear nephews, nieces, numerous friends and extended family members. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his dear brother, Ovila Pimpare and his wife, Lorraine, and his dear sister, Theresa Lariviere and her husband, Roger. His relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service of Committal on Friday morning, May 16, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
