Obituary




Jeffrey Paul Lassey passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old.
Born on May 28, 1948, Jeffrey was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He was a proud graduate of South High School and went on to earn his Master’s degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), launching a successful and respected career as an Electrical Engineer.
Jeff was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Lynne (Maniero) Lassey, as well as his parents, John E. Lassey and Marjorie H. (Harris) Lassey brother John Lassey and sister Carol Chilton. His memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Frances (Lombardi) Lassey, his daughter, Stephanie Mustica and her former husband Massimo Mustica; his beloved son, Jeffrey Lassey, and his wife, Mary Lassey. He was the adored “Gramps” to five grandchildren: Angelo Mustica, Marcello Mustica, Jack Lassey, Emma Lassey, and Lily Lassey. His in-laws Lana Khoury and her Husband Francis, Lorna Chiras and her husband Richard, Lois Manero, Lenora Losapio and her husband Paul, Linda Backstrom and her husband Peter, Charles Lombardi and his wife Dianne, Marie Millian and her husband Robert, Linda Connors and her husband Joseph, Jerome Lombardi and his wife Keeley and many nieces and nephews. He loved nothing more than being with his family, whether cheering at a game, sharing a story, or offering wise guidance. His memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A man of great intellect and quick wit, Jeff was known for his many famous sayings—none more beloved than his signature greeting, “Hey Budday!” He brought humor, warmth, and wisdom into every room he entered. Jeff found great joy in golf, forming lasting friendships on the green and treasuring the game as a lifelong passion.
He was deeply proud of his family and the life they built together. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Calling hours are Tuesday, May 13th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be privately held in Hope Cemetery for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made in his name to Be Like Britt Foundation, 66 Pullman Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
Jeff will be missed dearly, but his spirit lives on in every life he touched—with a smile, a story, and a heartfelt “Hey Budday!”
