Wayne R. Kennedy, of East Boston, formerly of Medford, passed away on Monday, April 28th. He was 75. Born in Brookline and raised in Watertown, he was the cherished son of the late Wayne and Lillian Mae (Barrett) Kennedy. Wayne was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War.

After Wayne graduated from Middlebury College he had a long prosperous career as a Fire Alarm Operator for the City of Somerville. Wayne enjoyed watching Jeopardy and playing trivia. Wayne was the perfect teammate if you wanted to always win.

Wayne was the loving father of Alyssa Disario and her husband Michael of Woburn and Lynn Kennedy of California. He was the caring grandfather of Dominic Disario. He was the dear brother of Beth Andersen and her late husband Dick and the late Chris Kennedy. He was the loving cousin of Patti Kennedy, Dick Power and Priscilla Promise, and the dear uncle of Jeffrey Boujoulian, Tara Boujoulian, Jessica Stevens and the late Andrea Kydd.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Wayne’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, May 13th from 10 AM to 11 AM, with a celebration of life at 11 AM. Services conclude with burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
