ATOKA, TN – Henry P. Roux Sr., 83, of Atoka, TN and a former longtime resident of the Aldenville and Fairview sections of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born in Holyoke on May 4, 1941 a beloved son of the late Luc and Sylvia (Cloutier) Roux. He was raised in Aldenville, later lived in Fairview for many years and moved to Atoka, TN in 2024. He was last employed for the Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT for 20 years and retired at the age of 81. He previously worked for 35 years for the Graham Manufacturing Company in Holyoke. During his leisure time, Henry enjoyed watching his beloved Fox News and all the sports teams. He also enjoyed watching the birds, gardening, and his two cats. Most of all, he loved his family and his many friends. He leaves his loving wife and best friend of 25 years, Cindy (Pond) Roux; his three devoted children, Cynthia Mennard and her husband, Thomas; Captain Henry P. Roux Jr. US Navy and his wife, Selena, and John Roux and his wife, Ann; his three step-children, Jason Pond and his wife, Jill, April Piotrowski and Jared, and Kendra Paquette and Charles Ford; his extended family, Theresa LaPoint, Tammie Samson and her husband, Troy and Christine Stevens; he was “Pepérè” to his 18 cherished grandchildren and his 13 cherished great-grandchildren, his dear brother, Rev. Philippe Roux; his dear sister-in-law, Nancy Roux; his two nephews, Kenneth Roux and Cindy Gladstone, and Kevin Roux and his wife, Fay; his dear niece, Cheryl King; and his many cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Todd M. Roux; and his two brothers, Roland Roux and Dennis Roux. His family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Committal Service will be held on Friday morning, April 11, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (Please meet directly at the Cemetery).
