Damian Christopher Flynn, 51, of Salem, passed away unexpectedly at the Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill on Friday, September 6, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Stephanie A. (Hinson) Flynn, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. Born in Boston and raised in Salem and Marblehead, he was the son of John (Jack) Flynn of Salem and Christena (Ferrara) Flynn of Georgetown. Damian was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School and received his Associate’s Degree from the New England Culinary Institute of Vermont. Over the years he has worked for a variety of venues including; Red’s Sandwich Shop, Red’s Kitchen + Tavern, The Four Seasons Hotel, Celebrity Cruise Lines and various other popular dining establishments…. Damian was devoted to his family and most proud of his children’s accomplishments, scholastic and other interests. He enjoyed vacationing, having fun with his kids and in his younger years he enjoyed skydiving, going to concerts, and enjoying life. In addition to his loving wife and parents, he is survived by his twins, Jillian J. Flynn of Boston and Damian J.E. Flynn of Salem and sister, Sarah J. Flynn and husband Geoffrey Craig of Haverhill. As well as his niece Nicole Vassiliadis and cousins. Damian had a unique gift for making people laugh, and his infectious humor brought joy to everyone around him. His warmth and wit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. His funeral service will be in the funeral home, on Thursday, September 12th at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
