Obituary

Edmond Beaulieu, 107, of Westport, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. He was husband of the late Helen F. (Mattison) Beaulieu and the late Etta (Pettengill) Beaulieu.

Born in Westport, son of the late Emile and Rose D. (Gagnon) Beaulieu, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. Mr. Beaulieu was the former owner / operator of Beaulieu's Garage in Westport. He was an avid gardener. Mr. Beaulieu was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport and was a member of the Down Shifter, Cuz's and Bristol County Car Club, where he was known as "Fast Eddie." He held the Boston Post Cane for the Town of Westport, which honors the towns oldest citizen.

Survivors include a son: Joseph E. Beaulieu of Westport; 3 daughters: Ellen Duquette and her husband Ken of FL, Linda Beaulieu of Westport and Mary M. Caouette and her husband Chris of Portsmouth, RI,; a sister: Rita Demers of Westport; his loving son-in-law and daughters-in-law: Chuck Barboza, Eileen Beaulieu, Fran Beaulieu, Louise Beaulieu and Veronica Beaulieu; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was father of the late Edmond Beaulieu, Bruce Beaulieu, Douglas Beaulieu, Barry Beaulieu and Sally Barboza. He was predeceased by several siblings.

Mr. Beaulieu was very proud of the 83 descendants that he had, which included 9 children, 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, September 18, 2023 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church at 10:30 A.M.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
