Dorothea A. (LaFleur) Lombard, age 89, of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Monday, August 28, 2023, at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Lombard, Sr, who died in 1993.
Mrs. Lombard was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on June 10, 1934. Dottie was a loving wife, mother, friend, and Nana. After retirement in 1999, she moved to Woodland Meadows in Norton where she developed many lasting friendships. She was an active senior, walking on her treadmill every morning and enjoying trips to local restaurants. She was an avid Red Sox fan, never missing a game, and keeping detailed records on personalized score sheets. She was always ready for Bingo with friends on Friday nights and trips to the local casinos. On Sunday afternoons she was an important part of dinner and fun with family that always included grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her especially her sons Robert “Bob” Lombard and his wife, Cindy, and Donald “Don” Lombard and his wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Scott Lombard (Amanda); Craig Lombard (Amanda); Donnie Lombard (Aleah); Kimberly Whitty (Justin); and Meaghan Oliveira (Zack); as well as 12 greatgrandchildren: MaKenna, Savanna, Brennan, Charlotte, Zoe, Aubrey, Brenna, Wyatt, Cora, Alex, James, and Veronica. She also leaves behind her brother, Donald LaFleur and his wife Kay, of Riverside, California and her beloved sister, Janice Grzelczyk, of Houston, TX, along with many other special extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, starting at 11 a.m. at Chateau Restaurant in Norton.
