Evelyn D. (Asselin) Blondek, age 90, passed away on May 17, 2023 from the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Ludlow. She was born on Sept. 23, 1932 in Chicopee, daughter of the late Amedee Asselin and Claire (LaBonte) Asselin. She worked as a seamstress for Chicopee Undergarment for many years before she retired. She is predeceased by her husband John Blondek and 11 siblings. She is survived by her sister Margaret “Peg” Mort of Chicopee and also leaves many nieces, nephews and family members who will miss her dearly. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Wed. May 24, 2023 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name/Assumption Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St Stanislaus Cemetery.
