David E. Consigli, Sr., 80, of Medway, died Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Milford on May 25, 1942, he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Chaplin) Consigli.
Dave was a lifelong resident of Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1960.
Dave’s Medway pride ran deep proudly serving as a Medway Police Officer for 27.5 years and as the juvenile officer for several years during his tenure.
Dave was an avid golfer. He was always full of life advice that he delivered in a way that made you never forget it. He had quick wit and was a great comedian. He always had a joke ready for any and all occasions.
He is survived by his children Shelley John and her husband Steven of Dennis, David Consigli, Jr. and his wife Diane of Medway and Amy Sicard and her husband Steve of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Anthony, Lindsey and her husband Patrick, David and his wife Carly, Brianna, Julia, Nicole, Anthony and Natalie and three great-grandchildren, Madeline, Steven, and Chloe.
Dave is also survived by three sisters, Joanne Gaulin of Derby, Kansas, Nancy Rojee of Medway and Kathleen Burke of Sandwich, one brother, Joseph Consigli of Mashpee and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Arden Hanscom and Peter Consigli and former spouse of the late Lorraine (Bettencourt) Consigli.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Monday, April 3 at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 – 6 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
