Richard J. "Sweet Pea" Hart, 74, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at home. He was the son of the late Roger E. and Mary E. (Enos) Hart.
Mr. Hart or Sweet Pea as everyone affectionately knew him as was born in New Bedford and had been a lifelong resident of Westport. He had worked for Northeast Welding. He was an avid supporter of the Westport Shellfish Association and was the Assistant Harbormaster and wharfinger. Heaven just gained a master fabricator and we lost a good man
Survivors include many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Roger Hart and G. William "Bill" Hart.
Graveside service to which relatives and friend s are invited will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
